What is Alpha and how does it work?

Whether you’re new to faith, aren’t sure about faith or have questions about life and it’s meaning, we would love you to join us for Alpha!

Alpha is the chance to ask some of life’s big questions over 6 weeks, in an informal & friendly setting. 29 million people globally have tried it.

Each session consists of 25 minute film and then a chance to say as little or as much as you like in a discussion.

At any point if you think Alpha isn’t for you, that’s not a problem. There’s no pressure, no follow up and no charge!

Join us for 6 weeks of coffee and conversations about the Christian Faith.

Alpha starts Thursday 5th February 2026, 7.30pm – 8.45pm at Cafe Sonas (Market Square, Lisburn) 

• 5th Feb – Is there more to life than this?
• 12th Feb – Who is Jesus?
• 19th Feb – Why did Jesus die?
• 26th Feb – How can I have Faith?
• 5th March – Why and How do I Pray?
• 12th March – Why and How should I read the Bible?
• 21st March – Saturday Away Day: Who is the Holy Spirit?
